Along the banks of the Mureș River, on the site of a former SMA industrial platform, an urban plan was developed for a new residential district in the city, the first of its kind in the past 20 years. The site is positioned between the central and industrial areas of the city, offering wide views over both. The new apartment buildings aim to provide a modern, flexible way of living, with generous glazing and well-oriented perspectives.
As part of an ensemble that will host 14 residential buildings, the design seeks to emphasize functionality, diversity, aesthetics and a modest dialogue between the buildings. For this reason, the architecture was conceived to be simple, defined by minimalist forms and colors, with subtle articulations and variations that balance the volume and create a sense of intimacy within.

The building was designed to be part of a cohesive whole, perceived as one with the rest of the ensemble, each contributing to the overall value of the new district taking shape. Given its large scale, the construction is composed of three main volumes, two white and one gray, which generate articulation, proportion and spatial intimacy. The rhythm and dynamic of the façade are created by balconies, loggias and windows that frame views of the city and the hills beyond the Mureș River.
Set within a green and dynamic site, these dwellings aim to offer a new framework and a new way of living in the historic city of Reghin.
