This building represents an innovative approach to urban regeneration, occupying a vacant plot in the urban fabric of Bistrița, in a more peripheral, predominantly residential area with a significant concentration of collective housing. The building’s volume is fragmented through articulation zones created by loggias and balconies, resulting in a composition that breaks the monotony of a compact form and adds a more complex and digestible character. To avoid a visual sense of heaviness, the verticality was emphasized through the shape and rhythm of the openings, as well as through the facade elements.

The brick cladding of one of the created volumes adds a note of subtle elegance, combining the tradition of the material with a modern approach, and in combination with the other volumes, it enhances the contrast and aesthetic complexity of the entire building. This interplay between different materials creates a visual experience that draws the eye and highlights the entire composition.
Thus, this intervention responds not only functionally to the need for housing but also to the desire to revitalize and enhance the city’s space, without incurring high costs. The building becomes a subtle yet significant intervention in the urban landscape of Bistrița, adapting to the characteristics of the area and transforming a vacant space into a modern and efficient living environment.
